  The new guidelines for healthy food in schools “Smart Choices”, state that only one item in the Red category may be supplied on two occasions per term. The Red items include soft drinks, pies, chocolates and cakes. This is applicable to tuckshops, fundraising, classroom rewards, excursions, camps, celebrations and sports days. "Smart Choices" comes under the banner of the Health Promoting Schools Committee which meets once per term.
