Smithfield State High School

Uniforms PDF Print E-mail
When the school opened in January 1983 parents voted for a uniform for this school. In 1999 and again in 2002, the P&C Association endorsed this decision. We ask for your full co-operation in ensuring your student is in full school uniform throughout the year. We believe that a high standard of dress helps to create and maintain a climate of belonging and shows respect and pride in the school and its aims. New uniform designs were introduced in 2003 and a skirt added in 2005. In 2008, we have added a spray jacket for winter and a formal uniform for Senior students.

Correct uniforms must be worn at all times. Uniform Policy
If on any day a student is unable to wear correct uniform, they must bring a note of explanation from their parent or guardian and present it at the withdrawal room/sickbay. The school has a supply of spare uniforms that students can borrow so that they are in correct uniform. Failure to return borrowed uniform will result in parent / guardian being invoiced to replace the item.

Uniforms can only be purchased from the tuckshop.
Uniform costs:
School T-shirt $33.00
School Shorts $31.00
School Skirt $30.00
