The Tropical North Learning Academy Jazz Program offers a curriculum that provides a solid grounding in performance fundamentals with an emphasis on jazz stylings.
The program is supported by jazz drummer John Morrison and vocalist Jacki Cooper, and led by highly qualified teachers with an extensive background in education and music performance.
The academy provides a curriculum that focuses on jazz and contemporary styles, where instructors guide students in developing their skills in performance, improvisation, and music theory with a focus on jazz.
Students can major in:
- Brass, woodwind, percussion, strings
- Composing,
- voice, or
- a combination of areas.
The program caters for intermediate through to more advanced musicians.
